Helen "Blondie" Forster, Vocals

HelenHelen was born near Liverpool in England, the heart of beat music and the home of The Beatles. She comes from a family of musicians and music teachers, therefore she started to sing when she was very young. In her childhood she was a member of the Saint Alkmunds Church Choir for nine years. During her time there she was awarded the Deans and Bishops Chorister Awards, the highest awards for choristers in the Church of England.

After she joined a soul group at her school she developed a passion for soul music and all music from the sixties. In the following years she took part in many school and regional youth concerts until she moved to the south of England in 1999.

Her musical activities were put on the back burner after her move but she missed the stage, therefore after moving to Germany in 2002 to study translating at the University of Mainz in Germersheim she decided to join a band and start singing again. She joined the „James Blue Band“, a soul band from Karlsruhe and met Pete Field, their bass player. Helen and Pete then met Frank and Diethard and now enjoy playing in Helen & The Poor Boys!
