Each side of the Rhine, between the Black Forest and the Palatine Forest, and north of the Alsace, is a band that is different to all of the others. No Party Rock, no Hip Hop, no Heavy Metal, no Mix of Rock and Pop from the last 40 years, no. This band plays songs that inspired the youth in many parts of the world in the late 50’s and 60’s, in the times of Elvis, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, The Beatles, The Searchers, The Stones and The Lords.

Only something for the 50+ Generation? By no means! The same music that at one time meant revolution in the difficult post-war times and was denounced as “nigger music”, today unites the young and the old. This music is cheery and has a rhythm that you have to tap your feet to. These kind of short and catchy songs carry away everyone, whether 20 or 60 years old. The band members of Helen & The Poor therefore cover this whole time period, with members just over 20 years old to members in their middle 50’s.

These everlasting songs are the roots of many new songs in the Top 10, therefore this music is as current as ever!
